Youth Club

We used to hold a Youth Club every Monday from 7:30pm to 9:00pm from October to March for 12 - 16 year olds.

Despite free use of facilities, including table football, table tennis, pool, electronic organ, piano, cookery etc, we were rewarded with abuse, foul language and criminal damage to both the building and vehicles. We therefore had to stop both clubs because of continued anti social behaviour and vandalism.

Despite our requests for support from parents and police, we had to make the sad but sensible decision to close both the children’s group and the youth club.

Our apologies to the well-behaved people who lost out because of the minority!

With ever increasing legislation, we have to take matters like this seriously. There were not enough church members to cope. Of course, we would always reconsider starting again in the future given the right support and resources.
